Intex 16 x 48 Saltwater System – This is by far the best feature that many customers are happy about. This makes a big difference in pool maintenance. The saltwater system makes this pool well worth the price.. Gone are the days of having to worry about the cleaning you need to do to make the pool swimmable again.
Pool Setup – Setup is reasonably easy. Make sure you follow the instructional DVD that usually comes with the package. If you don’t have the DVD, the instructional manual is also very easy to follow. Give yourself 2-3 hours to set it up although some people have done so in 1 hour.
Remember that it takes anywhere from 6 to 12 hours. You will also need about 120 pounds of salt to get the saltwater system working.
It is HIGHLY recommended to set the Intex 16 x 48 Ultra Frame Pool on a base of concrete. However, some people have reported that they set this up on carefully leveled sand or soil which worked just fine.
Ladder – The ladder is a little bit flimsy but it does the job.
Cleaning The Pool – The saltwater system does a pretty job with cleaning the pool. You’ll need to run the filter 2-4 hours per day.
